In the past, things were simpler
I got to thinking about what Cat was like in her youth, so here are some “photos” and letters from that time period. The camera is a fancy-shmancy thing that Catherine stole from her parents’ country house (which she was severely punished for)
She wore gloves almost constantly between the ages of 9 (when “the accident” occurred) and 14, at which point she became much less self-conscious about her hands and gradually started to wear them less and less.
Around the “Sunflower crew” she continued to wear them - despite those three being the ones she was closest to, she still kept up a wide array of barriers. /Anything/ to do with her childhood or her family was strictly kept quiet about, and to this day they can rattle off a list of her likes and pet peeves and habits, but can’t tell you a thing about her home life save for what they managed to guess (and that is not much at all).
